To trade in currency you need a broker who provides platform. To get buy and sell signals there are so many signal providers who can send u signals via e mail,by text or some other methods. There are many software vendors who will sell software +will charge you monthly for data feed. For all these information fxstreet web site is a good start to begin.

As stated above, most forex brokers have software that you download for free to trade on the foreign exchange market. The next question is which broker to use. The website below has a list of 150 online forex brokers with information on each.

depends on what you mean by software, 4xmadeeasy is software and costs $4500, a metatrader platform is not software (or is it) but you can mimick expensive software with it, software in my mind is a separate trade decision package that is extra, in my mind. if you qualify a metatrader platform as software then it IS free, so it depends on your definition of software versus a trading platform with alot of features and charting that in my mind is not software but can do roughly the same thing.
